I am a sucker for purple toned lipsticks, be it berry purple, dark purple or simply a purple toned pink, so as soon as I saw this I knew it had to be mine! Back in the day, when I was at college I used to wear Barry M’s Lip Paint in Palest Lavender (£4.99, Superdrug) religiously, and this just seemed like a perfect throwback but with some class (£16, Beauty Bay)
Like the other two liquid lipsticks from this collection it comes in the summer yellow and pink packaging which is just so cute, especially against the lavender of the product itself. This also contains the watermelon scent which just brings back memories of watermelon martinis in the summertime, if you haven’t had one you should definitely try!
The consistency of this is very similar to Nude Beach, it’s a creamy opaque from just one swipe due to the high pigment. It is a colour which I have worn and will continue to wear all year round, it’s not just a summer shade and when applied to the centre of the lips and rubbed out with your fingers it gives a softer finish which is possibly my favourite way to wear it in the colder months.
Virginity is by far my favourite of the three I’ve bought, applying creamily and drying down matte quickly whilst not drying out the lips throughout the day. It is such a wearable yet different shade that will go with both day and night time looks. I think it’s definitely one worth picking up!
Have you got any shades from the summer collection? Which is your favourite?
